Robust and open platform

Safe-T is based on a robust, enterprise-grade platform that is powerful and flexible enough to meet the stringent IT requirements of the medium to large organization. With its state-of-the-art Open API capabilities, Safe-T enables users to achieve easy and seamless integration with existing infrastructure and third-party systems.


Manage it your way

The Unified Platform is the underlying concept that enables Safe-T's broad flexibility, allowing IT personnel to customize and tightly control every aspect of the file transmission and storage processes. The Unified Platform's ability to push and pull files either to or from a remote server via various protocols (such as FTP, HTTPS, and SMTP) grants Safe-T users a great deal of flexibility and adaptability. For example:

  • Users can send files via email even while files are being conveyed via FTP in the background
  • With the push of a button, users can access a unified list of all files, regardless of their physical location
  • IT personnel have the capability to choose exactly where files will be stored -- without impacting users' ability to access them
  • Safe-T can easily be integrated to work with existing technologies and systems that are used for transferring files both within your organization and to external partners and clients

 


File Automation

Leveraging the flexibility of Safe-T's Unified Platform capability, controls can be set to transfer files automatically when certain conditions are met. Common examples include establishing automatic file transfers:

  • from any server to individuals (for example, sending appropriate invoice/billing information to customers at specified intervals)
  • from any server to any other server (for example, for internal backup purposes)

 


Optimized file transmission

  • The Optimized Routing Technology (ORT) allows files that are being downloaded by overseas users to be routed automatically through servers and other high-bandwidth routes, significantly speeding file transmission.
  • Inter-server capability allows secured communication between Safe-T servers, including relaying. This provides a significant measure of flexibility in network configuration and the ability to adapt to existing network layouts.
  • Safe-T supports Zip-On-The-Fly feature for improved performance, convenience, and flexibility.
  • Multiple protocol support. Safe-T offers extensive support for industry standard protocols such as FTP/S, SFTP, HTTPS, and many more. In addition, the use of robust, open API enables additional compatibility with a wide range of third-party protocols, as well.
  • Ensure successful file transfer. For guaranteed delivery, Safe-T offers several features that help prevent delivery failure. Transfer resume and retry functions will automatically restart transfers that have been terminated mid-stream.

Multiple security measures

  • Safe-T offers a number of tightly secured file transfer capabilities, including secured links, multiple password protection options, file encryption, and advanced tracking and reporting capabilities.
  • DMZ front-end - Safe-T's optional DMZ front-end configuration delivers the highest possible protection against infiltration. Safe-T's File Dispatcher Agent is built into the DMZ and handles all incoming and outgoing links. External users cannot gain access beyond the DMZ, and all files that are streamed from the file server require authorization of users through the File Dispatcher Agent.
  • Restrictive login control - System administrators have the capability to customize access to the system at the user level. In addition to determining which users can access the system, Safe-T's controls can also be set to dictate other security features, such as requesting a username, password, or security certificate, or by limiting access according to such criteria as IP address or time of day.

Efficient file storage

Files can be stored anywhere, local or remote, allowing fast delivery and operational efficiencies. Safe-T's proprietary File Storage Optimization (FSO) technology automatically routes transferred files to the most efficient file storage location based on a number of considerations and controls, including physical proximity to the recipient. This capability significantly increases the average download speed, and improves storage efficiency.
